Regional Information
Respite Hume is the regional point of contact for carers, people with a disability and the community, in the Hume region of Victoria. We provide information and support on where to find respite and other community services. We also provide information about local and regional aged, disability and community care services, to the general public and service providers.
The Hume region of Victoria covers some 40,000 square kilometers of provincial Northeast Victoria and extends to the regions of Gippsland to the southeast, Metropolitan to the south and Lodden Mallee to the west, with the New South Wales Border on the Murray River to the north.
The Hume region has shires that are individual and special in their own way, encompassing communities that are culturally rich and diverse. These communities are well known for jazz and food festivals, wine growing, fruit production, Alpine and snow areas, picturesque valleys and beautiful rivers, dams and weirs.
